Retaining screw

Omission of the retaining screw (when damaged) can cause problems when changing from summer to winter tyres (or vice versa) since the brake disc may lift off the wheel hub, thereby allowing dirt and rust to get between disc and hub.

Result: A correct axial runout of the brake discs is no longer ensured.

To ensure that you always have the right screw at hand, TMD Friction has a kit with the most common brake disc fixing screws in its product range. You can also reorder these screws separately as needed.

On vehicles that do not have brake disc fixing screws as standard equipment, special care is needed when replacing the tyres. It must be ensured that no dirt or rust gets between brake disc and wheel hub, as this could cause a deviation in axial run-out.
